in Bayern e.V.
Freitag, 14.03.2014 (Beginn: 08:30 Uhr, Ende vsl. 10:30 Uhr)
The Japanese-German Business Association (DJW) invites you to share ideas, contacts and information on business related topics while enjoying breakfast at our „Asa no Kai” in Munich. A short speech will be held in English, but questions can be posed and comments or announcements can be made in Japanese or German as well.
The speaker, Dr. Stefan Mair, will analyze how the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the European Union and Japan will influence the economic and political partnership. He will give an answer to the question how the agreement would open the access between EU and Japanese markets while structural reforms are still ensured. He will discuss how the FTA and its consequences would contribute to the innovative and competitive nature of both our markets.
Dr. Stefan Mair has been member of the executive board of BDI since November 2010 and board member of DJW since 2012. After finishing his studies of political science, economics and sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich he received his Ph.D. degree in Political Economy in 1992. In the following years he had been working at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs in the positions of Research Fellow on Africa, Research Group Leader, Research Director and Director of studies before becoming the Managing Director for International Markets at BDI.
